Francisco Henriques

Francisco joined CIEE Lisbon in 2023 as the Academic Manager of the center. He holds a BA in History, a MA in Modern History and a PhD in History at University of Lisbon. He also worked as a teacher and researcher in Economic and Social History, and as a consultant for museum exhibitions and oral History projects. Born and raised in Lisbon, he has lived in Spain and in the Azores, and has worked as a camp counselor in Portugal and the US. He is passionate about the sea, history and literature. He has a twin brother and is also the father of a 2-year-old Portuguese-Canadian boy named Miguel.
