Lara Dunwell

Lara Dunwell is the Regional Security Manager for Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Lara previously served as the Center Director of the Cape Town CIEE Center for 5 years, and before that served at the University of Cape Town in the field of international education from 2001 - 2018.  Her work with U.S. students and partner universities from around the world has strengthened “internationalization at home” for students in South Africa; she has also worked with multinational teams in Africa, Europe and the U.S. supporting international student mobility and scholarships.

Lara has a Master’s in English Language and Literature from the University of Cape Town, and has served two terms of office on the management council of the International Education Association of South Africa.
