I was in a high school play!

Today I want to talk about Clubs, especially my favorite one but first things first. In my school, clubs mostly go from school end to 4:30 pm. There are so many different clubs it’s incredible. Here are some examples:

- Drama Club
- Art Club
- Fashion Club
- Hispanic Club
- Astrology Club
- Key Club
- Kopp Club
- Improv Cub
- And so much more

The cool thing is every club is run by students, not by teachers. How do the clubs get advertised? Through Instagram imagine. My school uses Instagram to announce important events and they make competitions there it´s amazing. The clubs also got presented by a Club fair during lunch breaks. Everybody had posters and was explaining to people what their club is about, handing out little candy and Flyers.

One of the Clubs I joined is Drama Club. Which led me to play in the first show of the semester.

I always loved the theater; acting is one of my passions. The show was called Puffs (Comedian Show about the Hufflepuffs during the years Harry Potter was in Hogwarts).  I only got two small roles, but I am super proud of myself. My Roles are Professor Locky and Myrtle. Here in the United States, they take school plays way more seriously and it´s way more professional than in my home country (Germany).

They have something called tech week, but mostly everybody calls it hell week. This week I stayed at school till ten pm. During that time, we would run the shows, practice, and practice. At the start, I thought one week was way too long, but we really did need that week and it turned out amazing.

On opening night, I was super scared and nervous. What if I forgot the words and suddenly start to speak in my native language? It was very stressful, but when I got on stage, I did amazingly and enjoyed it so much.
