All about my Thanksgiving break

The last day of class before the thanksgiving break I was distributing thank you cards to my friends and in the afternoon I saw home alone with my host family for the first time.
On Wednesday I FaceTimed my parents from Spain and then I went out to dinner with my host family.
The big day was on Thursday, I woke up early to cook a typical dish from my country.
My host mom helped me cook it.
It was very good.
We hosted thanksgiving so the people were coming. I helped preparing the food and the turkey.
I had too much but it was so good.
Then my host mom and I went downtown to see the ignaguracion of the Christmas lights. That moment was very nice and special, I also met one of my friends there.
When we left I found a Spanish family who was in Kansas City for vacation, what a coincidence! Then we stopped to have a coffee and get strength because I was going to do black friday shopping with some friends all night. At 10.30 they came to pick me up and I had a great time. We wanted to find the best deals. The next day we putted up the Christmas tree and decorated the house with lights. We also putted an ornament that I brought from Spain.
My family told me about the elf on the shelf’s tradition and they read the story to the kids. On Saturday I celebrated thanksgiving with my friends. Each one brought food, so I made an omelette.
We took photos and then we made a devotional. I am very grateful to have them.
On Sunday we were going to celebrate thanksgiving with my dad's side but because there was a snowstorm we had to cancel it. The storm was terrible so Monday and Tuesday were snowdays, so I had the opportunity to rest from the busy break.
My first and last thanksgiving was unforgettable.
