4 months in the U.S.

4 months, 122 days since I left my home and my family to come to what has already become my second home,

I am not going to tell you that it has been easy because it is not so, coming here does not mean arriving and having a lot of friends, arriving and knowing English, arriving and pass all your classes, arriving and feeling as if you were at home.

Everything takes time to adapt to your new life but it only depends on you.
Because things do not come alone and if you do not make yourself known, it will not be easy to make friends, but that is just my experience.

I have to say that the one that was my group of friends at the beginning is not anymore because you will already realize who really wants you with them and who does not.

That process of feeling like I did not have friends and trying to make room for myself with other people was very hard and it's a feeling that makes you want to give up and say I can not anymore.

But I promise you that with time everything improves and with a person that you thought you did not have anything in common ends up being a fundamental support.

In my case, I do not do any sports, so it was harder to make friends, but if you like sports, I'd recommend you to join one because that is where you are going to make the strongest friendship ties.

November has been one of the best months so far because I was already having more plans but still there are days where you feel sad and I have to tell you that it is totally normal to feel this way.

It is very typical but it is true, this experience is like a roller coaster and it is impossible to be always on top.

I want to know what is coming in December and I am looking forward to live Christmas in USA with my American family.

Thank you for reading

I hope you like it.

Yours sincerely, Patricia
