Meet the Employer: K-12 Classroom Position in Hungary
CIEE TEFL is proud to collaborate with employers worldwide to provide job opportunities for our students and alumni. One such opportunity is the CIEE TEFL Job Placement Assistance program in Budapest, Hungary. With two placement options available, we wanted to give one of our partner employers—who offers teaching positions in K-12 classrooms—a chance to introduce themselves and share more about their employment opportunity.
This is what the K-12 Classroom employer in Hungary had to say:
We are a private, non-profit, tuition-based educational enterprise operating in Hungarian state and private educational institutions since 2001. We operate our nationally accredited program in six primary schools, one high school and four kindergartens in Budapest and its environs.
We offer an innovative approach to teaching, including the interactive and communicative approach favored in EFL environments as well as Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in our subject lessons at all grade levels and in the kindergarten.
As such, we co-teach: teachers hold lessons jointly and alternate in the leading role, switching languages throughout the course of the lesson. So, students study simultaneously in both English and Hungarian.
We benchmark externally with Cambridge language exams, and we are also innovative in terms of technology, integrating various online learning platforms into our classrooms.
Our teaching team is currently comprised of 109 native English teachers as well as over 200 Hungarian co-teachers working alongside our staff. We also have a strong educational and administrative support team in place.
Our Mission
We work tirelessly to provide our children with a challenging and stimulating bilingual learning environment, helping them develop a passion for learning and creative thinking, thus laying the foundation for their future opportunities.
