See a Program in Action!

When at least ten students in your school travel on a CIEE Global Navigator High School Summer Abroad program, you get to travel too! Join us in Merida, Rennes, Rome, Tallin, London, Rabat, Madrid, or Taipei to see the impact of our summer abroad programs on high school students. This 5-day Professional Development seminar will take you to the heart of our programs as you follow students in classes and on excursions!

See the students’ confidence grow as they navigate a new place and open themselves up to a new culture! Meet with CIEE Program Leaders, local teachers, and host families and see how they help students connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.

You’ll travel as part of a group of 10 to 12 like-minded educators, all passionate about global education. Get ready to network and share feedback as you reflect as a group. Help CIEE further align our programs with the high school experience and come home reenergized and inspired to engage your own students in new ways.

Invitations going out soon. Stay tuned!

It is also meant to be fun! So, pack some comfortable shoes and get ready to hit the town with our friendly staff, joined by local experts. Good To Know

  • All sessions start on Monday and end on Friday. For all destinations except Mexico, this means flying out of the U.S. on Sunday and returning on Friday.
  • We expect you to join at least two classes, two excursions, two group dinners, and a group discussion on your last day, but our schedule leaves plenty of room for free time, too!
  • CIEE’s invitation covers:
    • Cost of your international roundtrip airfare (economy)
    • Four hotel nights (hotel to be booked by CIEE)
    • Any CIEE-planned cultural activities that are included in the group itinerary
    • Group dinners every night of the trip
  • You are welcome to extend your stay at your own cost, but we ask that you travel unaccompanied during the 5-day observation, so you can focus on the program and the professional development opportunities that come with engaging with your peers, our local teachers and staff.
  • Participants will receive a certificate of 10 hours of professional development
