Walking tour of Toulouse
Toulouse Walking tour
Yesterday, the students continued with their orientation. One of the highlights of our orientation was taking a walking tour of the city with our two guides who live in Toulouse. We began our tour with a worksheet that gave the students small maps with arrows. Students had to fill in the sentence to describe the path they needed to take in the map. (Ex., turn right on Rue Pharaon)
Our guides accompanied students through the city, pointing out different landmarks that would help students orient themselves so they would be able to better navigate the city of Toulouse. Towards the end of our tour, our guides let the students take over and lead the group to the next destination.
Vocabulaire important:
Traverser- to cross (a street)
Tourner- to turn
Tout droit- straight
À gauche- to the left
À droite- to the right
La rue- the street
La Garonne- River in Toulouse, an important point of reference when orienting yourself in Toulouse
