Tumeshafika Salama! (We have arrived safely!)
*Disclaimer: due to connectivity issues, the blog posts might be a little out of order, but the content is just as great nonetheless :)
After more than 24 hours of traveling, we all made it safely to Tanzania. If 2 or 3 plane rides weren't enough, we had to hop back on a bus after a few hours of sleep to drive to our final destination, Iringa. After grabbing a delicious dinner of Indian food in town, we all were dropped off at hour homestay families (be sure to check out the blog all about our homestay families). For the next three weeks, we'll be exploring Iringa, learning about the culture and history of Tanzania, and working on gender empowerment through soccer. We hope you'll follow along on our journey and learn about the amazing work our students are doing!
