The Train Stamp Rally
The hustle and bustle of daily life here in Tokyo is made easier by the impressive train systems! Our students have been using the trains like true Japanese citizens to get to and from school, activities, and their home stays. To help them learn the crazy-looking but actually easy to follow train system they participated in the train stamp rally! Students received a special ticket to ride the Yamanote line and collect as many train stamps as they can. (Zoom in to the middle of the map to see the green circular Yamanote line!) They found themselves quick to learn how to follow the color coordinated maps, ask locals when the next train is coming, and ask station employees where the stamps are at every station! Every station in Japan and even plenty of tourist attractions have little booths with special stamps for travelers to collect as a free souvenir!
