Setubal: Fish Market and Bottle Nose Dolphins
This 4th of July, our students had the opportunity to celebrate in the beautiful town of Setubal. We went to the fish market, talked to locals, and ended the day with dolphin-watching on a boat. Many students, for their projects on sustainability, interviewed local fisherman and fish sellers. We danced, swam, ate some good food, and got a show from the dozens of Bottlenose Dolphins that live in that area. We even got to see the baby dolphins that were just days old, swimming around with their mamas. When we got back to the dorm we ate dinner in the park, had popsicles, and lit sparklers to celebrate the holiday. Even though we were all far from home, we found a way to still have fun together and bring a little 4th of July spirit to Portugal.
