A Rapa Nui Experience
On the easternmost point of the Polynesian Triangle lies the island of Rapa Nui, known by most as Easter Island. Rapa Nui is a territory of Chile, and this week the Valpo team got a little taste of Rapa Nui dance and culture. They saw a presentation of the rich history and customs of the Rapa Nui people. Then came face painting using the same volcanic soil used by the islanders, followed by lively dance lessons. The students had a great time. Check out the photos above.
