The Painted City
Globally recognized as one of the best cities on earth for street art, Valparaiso is a feast for the eyes. Murals rich in artistic and political significance adorn office buildings, alleyways, façades of private home, and even temporary construction barriers and the sides of garbage trucks. CIEE students had the opportunity to do a walking tour with Sebastian, an expert in street art, and learn about graffiti artists and how to interpret some of their impressive work.
Above is just a sampling of some of the rich art the students got to take in.
