Humble Beginnings
Today, as our official 2nd day in Ghana, we were excited to see the University of Ghana campus and the CIEE Legon staff members in our orientation class. Expectations were made clear to all participants and a few traditional games were introduced to the students that had us all literally running through the halls and searching for the mystery "object". Our day was a great start for us all to get in stride with our upcoming schedule and make our adjustments as we settle into our new environments.
During the latter part of our day we stopped in for our cultural bead making session and it was a great experience and opportunity to bond and express our creative natures with each other. A brief history was given about bead making in Ghana and the connection to the culture among the people of Ghana. We all look forward to what is ahead and are thankful for this amazing experience.
