Huchuy Qosco
This weekend was the best experience abroad I have ever had. We went to a place called Huchuy Qosco. It was pure magic. We had dinner and a bonfire afterwards. We danced by the fire with our glow sticks, sang karaoke songs in Spanish, and danced the night away with the people of H.Q. and their amazing voices and chilango.
We then spent the night with our new families in HQ. The next morning, we divided into two groups. Half of us went on a hike straight up the mountain for about 7 miles total. The views were breathtaking.
The other group participed in chores around the chakras. They cut alfalfa for the cuyes and fed them, they shucked the grain off of the choclo, and they helped to cook dinner!
We all came together to feast on the wonderful food. It was cooked in hot stones on the ground. The food was so beautiful and delicious.
After lunch, we headed back to Pisac. We were sad to leave, but happy to get back in our routines with our host families.
