For a great causa
The cuisine here in Peru is so deliciously different and exciting. This week, we learned to make a traditional food called causa. The students were able to make it and then eat it. It is mashed potatoes with lime juice, oil, aji, mayo, and salt. Then you flatten the potato out and fill it with some yummy things like fish, onion, guacamole, carrot, bell pepper, etc. Then, you roll it up and sprinkle some parsley on top. It was super deliciious and the students had so much fun following directions in Spanish and then eating their creations.
Ceci was a great teacher and our students learned and laughed a lot as you can see from their faces.
