Gaelic Games, Chickens, and Bogs, oh my!
In the last week our Global Entrepreneurship group has experienced some incredible things here in Ireland.
The first highlight of the week was visiting Croke Park and the GAA Museum. We learned all about the Gaelic games, what they are and how they are played. As well as the incredible pride in playing for your community. Jaws dropped when we walked into Croke Park and saw the shear size of the stadium.
Then the next day we got to try out the games of hurling, Gaelic football, and handball. Some students showed a real affinity for the games.
We ended our week getting out of Dublin for some fun adventures. Saturday we went to Causey Farm. There we learned how to make soda bread, saw lots of farm animals, and some people were brave enough to jump in a bog.
Sunday we took the train to Dun Laoghaire. It was a relaxing day spent by the coast eating and shopping in the market there. Two brave souls decided to swim even though it was a chilly day.
