First Impressions in Botswana
Hi Family, Friends, and Future CIEE Students!
After 30 hours of travel we finally made it to Botswana. We spent our first day learning about cultural norms, safety, and our exciting schedule for the upcoming 3 weeks!
When we arrived to the airport in Gaborone the students host families were there to meet them with smiles and home-made signs! They spent the first night with their host families yesterday and came back with nothing but kind words to say about their experiences this morning.
Students spent today learning about their new home. To learn more about the city we had an “Amazing Race”. They had to find different landmarks, buildings, and historical markers throughout the city and get pictures with them! The first team to find them all won the race!
We have a lot more of amazing adventures coming up. Stay tuned to find out what else is in store!
