First activity at Tokyo Skytree, Japan!
Hello from Tokyo, Japan!
In the Japanese language and culture program, we start off with a trip to Tokyo Skytree in Tokyo on June 13th, Tuesday.
First, we took a train in order to get used to the Japanese train culture, and we arrived at the destination! Skytree! The Tokyo Skytree, with a height of 634 meters, is the tallest freestanding tower in the world. We first went up to the TOKYO SKYTREE TEMBO DECK (350 m) and we went higher, TOKYO SKYTREE TEMBO GALLERIA (450 m). The view from the deck was just breathtaking. As we enjoyed the view, we could share our bucket lists or things we want to do in Tokyo in the next four weeks. After we enjoyed the view, we went shopping. There were many shops including gift shops, a Pokemon center, Ghibli shops, and more stores that sell famous Japanese characters. We had a chance to talk with local Japanese high school students which led to more learning.
Stay tuned for the next blog!
