Finalmente en Madrid
The Session 2 Madrid Language and Culture students have arrived in Madrid and are well underway with their first week of the program. After a quite exciting start with flight delays and cancellations, all students finally arrived. Orientation began on Sunday with presentations from CIEE personnel about safety, trips and a day in the life of a global navigator here in Madrid. Students also got to explore the streets with their groups and try out the metro for the first time.
Monday's activities included language interviews with our amazing language teachers and a group lunch in Lugar de Martina. In the evening, host families gathered at the arrival hotel to greet their student(s) for the month. Smiles all around!
The first day of classes was on Tuesday. Students are divided among four different classes with a Program Leader assisting in each class. Students had the opportunity to try out their first "Misión Ñ" experience, an opportunity to talk to local Madrileños about the city and use content learned in class. They were awesome and this is only the beginning!
