Clase de Cocina
Today the Global Navigators took a Spanish cooking course at the Mercado de Triana. Students learned how to make two typical Spanish dishes: Gazpacho and Tortilla de Patata. Students learned that contrary to the common belief, gazpacho is NOT a soup, but rather a great cold summer drink (great for hot days like today!)
Walking through the Mercado de Triana.
Tortilla de patata - egg and potato omelette, great for any meal, all year round!
Elliot, Nicholas and Valery working hard to drain the Gazpacho from the blender. Gazpacho - cold tomato drink blended with lots of tomatoes, cucumber, sweet pepper, garlic, and olive oil. Serve cold to beat the heat!
Everyone enjoyed the food that the students made and left happy and full! When the Global Navigators return to the United States, make sure to ask them to prepare you one of these new Spanish recipes.
