Arte, cultura e historia
On Friday, students in Level 2B (the class to which I am assigned), gave presentations—in Spanish—on various topics in arts and culture that they had chosen. I commented to them how blown away I was with their increased language proficiency. In my 13 years of teaching Spanish, I have never seen improvement happen this quickly. Also, over the past two weeks, students have participated in a host of cultural activities throughout the Community of Madrid. We visited the Reina Sofía Museum, the Prado Museum, the Archaeological Museum, the Mirador (or lookout) de Cibeles, and El Escorial. Unfortunately, photos are not permitted in many of these sites, but I have included some that we were able to take.
