Spring 2019 Arrival and Orientation in Valparaíso, Chile

Earlier this month, a new group of CIEE High School Abroad participants arrived in Chile to start their semester abroad living in the beautiful coastal city of Valparaíso. CIEE's High School Abroad in Chile program starts with an in-country orientation, during which CIEE staff lead informational sessions and cultural activities designed to introduce participants to the host country and host culture. Orientation helps to educate participants with the tools and resources they need for a successful experience abroad and is the first opportunity for students to fully immerse themselves in the target language of their host country, while forming strong personal connections with their fellow participants, CIEE staff, and their host families.
