Hello! My name's Maria Luisa Hernandez and I'm currently taking a Gap Year in Toulouse, France with CIEE! Although I was born in New York, I've lived most of my life in the Dominican Republic, where I just graduated from high school.  During my school years I participated in different extra curricular activities including: piano and guitar lessons, culinary arts, volunteering services, french classes, and horseback riding. I love learning about new cultures and places, meeting new people, traveling, reading and writing. After my gap year I will be pursuing a career in Medicine, while learning other languages such as portuguese, italian and german.
