Biography

Isabel is an enthusiast of helping students navigate their cultural experiences in Santiago. With a bachelor's degree and a master’s degree in linguistics, her areas of interests are sociolinguistics and anthropological linguistics, particularly speakers' perceptions, attitudes, and ideologies and their intersection with social class and ethnicity. Some of the courses Isabel has taught in CIEE are New Immigration and Traditional Ethnic Groups, Global Civil Rights, and the Service-Learning Seminar.
