Below is a basic guide to the process of hiring a CIEE–sponsored international intern. Certain cases may not follow this exact process. If you are in direct contact with your applicant's home country CIEE representative, they may give you specific instructions that differ from the below.
Timeline
CIEE generally advises applicants to allow at least 4-6 weeks from the time they accept an internship. However, the process can be expedited in certain situations. Applicants should speak to their CIEE representative if they have any questions about processing times.
