“My parents visited me in Chongqing for my first Spring Festival in China. The day of, I showed them around the tip of the peninsula, including the Chaotianmen and Jiefangbei areas. The photo captures them at the northern end of the Qiansimen Bridge, which is closed to auto traffic for holidays so pedestrians can appreciate the city lights (including from the famous Hongya Cave) from a closer distance.”
“Here's something I didn't do for Spring Festival! My parents and I spent the day after in Chengdu: they took a taxi to the panda research base, and I set off for Wuhou Temple. Making my way to the site, I noticed plenty of foot traffic in the area - but when I finally saw the lines (one of two is depicted here), I realized I had better find another way to spend my trip. I took a subway to People's Park instead.”
TEACH IN SOUTH KOREA: Hyosam J.
“For Lunar New Year I visited a fellow CIEE alumnus in Taiwan! Together we visited a traditional temple at midnight and received red envelopes :)”
