    About the Role

    Host Organization Description: The first family-planted vineyard in Minnesota. The vineyard's pioneering spirit has brought them unlikely fame in the wine drinking world. Position Description: Responsibilities: • Assist in vineyard maintenance tasks, including pruning, trellising, and harvesting. • Support the winemaking team in grape processing, fermentation, and cellar operations. • Participate in wine tastings, blending sessions, and quality control processes. • Help in bottling, labeling, and packaging wine for distribution and sale. • Engage in vineyard tours, tastings, and educational workshops for visitors and customers. This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of wine production and viticulture, gaining hands-on experience in a renowned vineyard and winery setting. If you have a love for wine and a desire to learn and grow in the vineyard and winemaking industry, we welcome you to apply for our Vineyard and Winery Internship. Vineyard work changes with the season starting with pruning, weeding, maintenance of the trellis, monitoring of fungal diseases and pests from spring to late summer. As we get closer to harvest, we will monitor the ripening and composition of the fruit until harvest when the grapes are picked and processed for wine. Knowledge or Skills to be Taught: See description above. Certification Required: Enrolled in or completed studies in Viticulture, Enology, Agriculture, or related fields. Skills Required: • Passion for wine, viticulture, and winemaking. Any experience with vineyard or other fruit trees, horticulture, agriculture. • Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform vineyard tasks. • Eagerness to learn and contribute to all aspects of vineyard and winery operations. • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to work as part of a team. English Language Requirements: Must have upper-intermediate level or higher in English and intermediate/B2 level on proof of English forms.
