Música andina
We have seen the instruments in the Pisac markets and heard the Andean music played throughout the streets, but yesterday WE were the musicians!
Students had a unique opportunity to learn how to play two typical Andean instruments: the Zampoña and the Quena. Our instructor was a local man from Pisac who has become world famous through this artistry. Students were able to receive a lesson and opportunity to practice each instrument.

We were treated to a private performance of a famous Andean tune at the end, "El Condor Pasa."
