¡LISBOA!
Hey all! It's been about five weeks since I arrived in Spain, and so much as happened. My next blog post will be about my first month and all the craziness haha. A few weekends ago we took a trip to Lisbon, Portugal. It was so incredible and I can't wait to go back someday. Although we were only there for a weekend I fell in love with it. We started out our trip with a short plane ride from Madrid, then a bus to the hostle. The Seville group didn't arrive until a lot later so we did the first activity on our own. We left our suitcases at the hostel then took a train to the Belém area. Belém is on the Tagus River and is absolutely beautiful. First we saw the Church of Santa Maria which is one of the most visited sights in Lisbon. After that we went to a pastelería and ate Pasteles de Belém, which is a traditional Portuguese pastery and it was so good! Next, we went to the Belém Tower. The view was amazing, you could see the whole city. After that we went back to the hostel and saw all of our friends from Sevilla. Not gonna lie, it was hard leaving my friends after the orientation but we had such a good time in Portugal together. On Saturday we did a tour of the Alfama District and saw the Cathedral. Then we went up to the Castle of San Jorge and once again the view was incredible. Later that day we went to a few museums and then had free time to get dinner. The next day we left to go back to Spain. Although the trip was short, we had such a good time. We're going to Málaga in a few weeks and I am so excited to explore another city with my friends.
