July marked the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). CIEE is proud to be a partner with Mobility International USA (MIUSA), an organization that empowers people with disabilities to achieve human rights through international exchange and international development. Program Spotlight: Camp Exchange USA
The Camp Exchange USA program brings international exchange to summer camps around the U.S. We visited three summer camps in our home state of Maine - Kingsley Pines, Wyonegonic, and Takajo - to learn more about the experience of our international summer camp counselors returning for another summer in the U.S.
CIEE Alumni Career Month Coming in September
September is Career and Networking Month for the CIEE Alumni Global Network. Each week, we'll be posting career tips, alumni interviews, and other helpful resources. September 14-18 will be Industry Networking Week - a chance to connect with alums in the fields of communications, business, NGOs, education, and more. Stay tuned - more information coming soon!

In the United States, we have CIEE alumni events in Chicago (August 18 at WeWork River North) San Francisco (August 22, San Pedro Valley Park), Washington D.C. (August 30, Meridian Hill Park), Boston, and New York (details TBD).

ALUM OF THE MONTH
Sarah Sanderson, CIEE Study Abroad and Teach Abroad alum
Sarah Sanderson is an alumna of multiple CIEE programs, a Fulbright fellow, and a winner of the U.S. Citizen Diplomacy Challenge. Most recently, she is the recipient of a Rotary International Peace Fellowship to Tokyo, Japan. Read more about her story.
