CIEE Planting 900+ Trees in Monteverde
To symbolize the impact of planting seeds of goodwill between peoples, CIEE is planting a tree for each of our 900+ employees around the world, representing our individual and collective power to positively affect the climate of our hearts, our minds, our homes, our communities, and our planet.
The trees will be cultivated in the nursery at CIEE’s Global Institute in Monteverde, Costa Rica, and planted on the campus and adjacent farms that are reforesting. CIEE's Global Institute - Monteverde is on track to become carbon neutral within the next year. Each of its study abroad programs offsets students’ carbon footprint through reforestation, sustainable farming, and conservation projects. Read more about our launch of the first-ever carbon-neutral study abroad program here.
