- Telephone Interview
CIEE will contact you upon receipt of your completed application to schedule a telephone interview.
- Notification of Interview Performance
Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail of their acceptance to the program. If accepted to the Teach in Spain program, you will receive pre-departure information on your interactive CIEE checklist accessed via your My CIEE account. To confirm CIEE’s offer to join the program you must submit a non-refundable commitment deposit of $300 within 10 days of acceptance notification.
- Placement Notification
Applicants will be placed at their school in the order of confirmation date, in two groups. The earlier a participant confirms to CIEE, the more likely a placement request will be met.
- Group 1 candidates will receive priority school assignments made in accordance with the agreement between the Junta de Andalucía and CIEE. You will be notified of your assignment in early June.
- Group 2 candidates must be flexible and open minded to both location and age preferences. You will be notified of your assignment in September, prior to CIEE orientation.
- Final Fee Installment
Group 1: Placement confirmations must be received by CIEE within 10 days of offer. Confirmation is made by remitting the balance of the program fee.
Group 2: The balance of the program fee is due by June 16.
- Visa
All candidates must apply for their visa in person at the Spanish Consulate. CIEE will forward the supporting paperwork from the Junta de Andalucía and CIEE in late June.
- Program Start Date
Participants arriving at the scheduled arrival date and time in Seville (SVQ airport) will be met at the airport by CIEE staff. Participants arriving at a different time must get to the orientation site on their own.
