    1. Telephone Interview
CIEE will contact you upon receipt of your completed application to schedule a telephone interview.

    2. Notification of Interview Performance
Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail of their acceptance to the program. In order for CIEE to continue with placement efforts on your behalf, it is necessary to submit a non-refundable commitment deposit of $300 within 10 days of acceptance notification. When your commitment deposit is received, you will receive program materials and other information on your interactive CIEE online application checklist accessed via your My CIEE account.

    3. Placement Notification
Applicants who are successfully matched with a location and host institution will be notified of placement details as soon as they become available.

    4. Placement Acceptance and Final Fee Installment
Placement confirmations must be received by CIEE within 10 days of offer. Confirmation is made by remitting the balance of the program fee. CIEE will then obtain the necessary paperwork from the host institution and local authorities necessary to apply for your visa.

    5. Forms Deadline
The final forms are due to CIEE 6-8 weeks prior to departure.

    6. Program Start Date
Participants arriving at the scheduled arrival date and time and place in the orientation city will be met at the airport by CIEE or CIEE partner staff. Participants arriving at a different time must get to the orientation site on their own.
