Put your skills—and your heart—into teaching in China. Teach at an elementary, middle or high school, college or university in an urban or rural location for an academic year or semester. Most people teach English, but you may be able to teach other subjects depending on your educational background and experience. And you can request placement at a particular level and preferred location, though placements are driven by the demand for English-speaking teachers and the requirements of each host institution, so CIEE cannot guarantee that all requests will be honored.
The eligibility requirements for the Teach in China program are:
- Bachelor’s degree in any major
- Native English language fluency
- Teaching experience or TEFL certification preferred but not required
