Submit your story, photos, and videos and showcase your semester. Perhaps you'll see them in our catalogs or on our website!

Now that you're back, it's an ideal time to reflect on your international experience, which has hopefully opened your eyes, broadened your horizons, and given you an experience you won't forget. You have discovered another country in a way no tourist ever can and now we'd like you to share your experience by submitting your story, photos, or a video.

Story Contest

Tell your story. What did you discover abroad - about the local culture, people, and yourself? How have your perspectives changed? We don’t want a typical essay, but thoughts about your experience that will encourage others to take the bold step you did. The best stories are full of details of what you saw, heard, felt, and experienced abroad…

We need from you…

Get creative - tell your story in an essay, a few paragraphs, or a poem. Why not include a photo that illustrates your story (not mandatory)?

Photo Contest

Tell your story - in photos. Capture the essence of your experience overseas. Known monuments and scenes of natural beauty are great subjects-but so are moments you observed, secret places you found, and candid snaps of your host family and friends. We especially love pictures taken in the city or town you lived in. Show us how you immersed yourself in the culture at school, at home, in the community.

We need from you…

  • Photos with the highest possible resolution
  • Three photos maximum
  • A two-sentence description of each photo including where it was taken

Video Contest

Tell your story – in video. Do you have a video of a moment during your time abroad that says it all? Give us insight into the sights, sounds, people, and culture of your host country in a short clip. What is the experience of studying abroad really like?

We need from you…

  • A short video clip or essay no longer then 4 minutes in duration
    • Supported file types:
      QuickTime (.mov, .qt, .mp4, .3gp, appletv, m4v)
      MPEG (.mpg, .mpeg, .mp2)
      Windows Media (.wmv)
      AVI (.avi)
