Adventures on the slopes with my high school's ski team

I spent the last week of my Christmas vacation with my host family. We did lots of things together, such as going to the movies or meeting up with friends and family. It was a really great week.

At the end of last year I joined the ski team at my high school and since the end of the Christmas vacations I've been on the slopes every Saturday, luckily it has snowed a lot since the start of the new year. That's why school has been canceled three times, because it was difficult and dangerous to get to school because of all the snow. 

Every Saturday we have a ski race.  I've always enjoyed skiing at home in Germany too, so I was all the more pleased that I was able to take advantage of this offer. Normally I've always skied normally, but skiing against each other is even more fun. The slopes here are a great change from the slopes I'm used to at home. The majestic mountains and the freedom of skiing down the slopes is a really great feeling. It's also a lot of fun because I get to spend time with my friends. That's always great fun. Skiing has not only turned my Saturday mornings into wonderful days, but it has also made my time here in the US even more memorable. It's not just a sport, it's a passion that combines the joy and energy of community.
