Biography

  • Martine joined CIEE as Senior Vice President for Inbound Exchange Programs in 2023.

    Prior to working at CIEE, Martine held various leadership positions at EC English, most recently serving as Chief Revenue and Product Officer, leading the organization’s sales, marketing, admissions, and product teams through post-pandemic recovery, helping restore the company to its leading position as an international English language learning provider servicing over 35,000 students annually.

    Before joining EC, Martine had a 10-year career in public health working at the United Nations Population Fund advising on and implementing programs related to adolescent reproductive health. In addition, she spent several years advising the federal and provincial governments in Canada on income support programs for people living with complex chronic conditions.

    A former professional ballerina in Malta, Martine currently serves at the vice chair of the Boston Ballet Board of Advisors. She is also a board member of the Literary Light Committee for the special collection at the Boston Public Library as well as on the Fundraising Committee for Weston Public Schools.

    Martine holds a master’s degree from Oxford University in International Development and Education, and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and English from the University of Malta. She lives in Weston, Massachusetts with her husband, two daughters, and her cat Winston.
