Aida Gevorgyan

Aida Gevorgyan joined CIEE in October 2019 as the HR Director and Business Partner for the Study Abroad Division, providing Human Resources support to 65 of our centers across 40 countries. In June 2021, Aida was promoted to Executive Director of HR and has since been responsible for leading the HR function. In October 2022, Aida was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources of CIEE.  

Before joining CIEE, Aida served as Regional Head of HR for North America at EC English Language Centers. In her more distant past, she supported the Human Resources function for other mission-driven, non-profit and high growth companies within the education industry.

Prior to working in HR, Aida worked for many years in the field of human rights and social justice, including a position with Save the Children USA, managing operations and programs aimed at promoting child rights and peace education in post-war Armenia.

In 2002, she was awarded a British Council Chevening scholarship and completed her Master’s degree in Human Rights law at the University of Essex in the UK. Upon returning to her home country, Armenia, she received Open Society Institute’s Justice Initiative fellowship, a merit based international fellowship for human rights activists that supports local grassroot organizations with strategy and program development.

Aida is in the homestretch of completing her MBA through the Isenberg School of Management at UMASS Amherst.
